Stassen, Richard A., Jr. age 63, of Maple Grove, passed away on March 1, 2015. Retired 30 year employee of Star Tribune. He will be remembered for his ability to envision a project and make it real. He remodeled two lake homes on his own and was pretty handy with a hammer, torch, and pipewrench. He took great pride in his lawn. Fished daily on his favorite lake, Mille Lacs. Preceded in death by father, Richard Stassen; mother, Darlene Stassen. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 26 years, Shirley Holman-Stassen; his children, Patricia (Brian) Markham, Richard E. (Linda) Stassen; step-children, Sherri (Dan) Palmgren, Anthony Grostyan (Janet), Coley (Melissa) Grostyan; grandchildren, Lacey Healy, Dylan and Emma Stassen, Hannah and Sarah Palmgren, Miriam Grostyan, and baby girl Grostyan; sisters, Betty (Mike) Spencer, Marlene (Dan) Schoenhard; nieces, nephews, relatives and good friends.
