Mary Jeanne Huetter

Huetter, Mary Jeanne of Bloomington, passed away Friday, February 27, at the age of 79 after a brief struggle with multiple health issues. Mary was born in Freeport, MN on January 26, 1936 to Henry & Helen Borgerding. Mary had been married to Phillip Huetter who passed away in 2013 after 45 years of marriage together. Mary worked for many years as a manager & buyer for Jerry's/Cub Foods until she retired in 1988. Mary enjoyed going to the casino with friends, driving her red mustang convertible, and adding to her extensive fish decor collection. For many years, Mary and Phil loved to spend time with family and friends at their lake home on Lake Osakis. Mary's pride and joy was her son Mikel, and grandchildren, Jenny and Jackie. She was an incredible mother and grandmother. She adored her grandchildren and enjoyed traveling across the state to support them at their basketball games. She loved taking adventures to the mall where she would sit in the backseat of the truck with the girls and playfully have Grandpa chauffeur them to various shopping locations. Most stores knew Mary and the girls by name. She was generous and kind, always putting others before herself, and got such joy out of sending cards to her family and friends for every occasion. She taught her family how to live life for others, how to be kind, and most importantly, how to love. Mary's life will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Tuesday, March 3, 2015 with visitation one hour before at The Church of St. Edwards, 9401 Nesbitt Ave. S., Bloomington. Mary will be laid to rest with her husband Phil at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Phil, parents Henry and Helen, and sister Kathleen. Forever loved, Mary will be deeply missed by her son Mikel (Jill) Morgan, Edina; grandchildren Jenny & fiancé Kevan, Jackie & fiancé Matt, Willi, and Izzy; great grandson Miles; sister Elaine (Al) Blommer, and other family and friends.
