Mecklenburg, Marjory (nee Malo) Born June 16.1935 in St. Paul, MN died January 28. 2015 following a long battle with cancer at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston TX. Marjory will be remembered by those who knew her as a strong, action-oriented individual who stood up for what she believed and who was not afraid to take a chance. During her life she was a teacher, a political activist, a civil servant in the U.S. department of Health and Human Services and a partner in a small business. She touched the lives of many with her energy, commitment and compassion. Marjory is survived by her husband, Ernest Peterson; his children Christopher and Erik, their spouses and children; her brothers, Arthur and Jack Malo; her children Carol, Karl, Fred and Eric Mecklenburg and their spouses: as well as 10 grandchildren. Interment will be at Grandview Park Cemetery next to her parents Arthur and K. Elaine Malo.
