M. Philip Snyder

Snyder, M. Philip Died peacefully surrounded by his family at the age of 81, two weeks before his 82nd birthday. Phil was the beloved husband of Sharon, his wife of 48 years, father to his two daughters and grandpa to his five grand-children. A native of St. Paul, he was a gentle man who both created and appreciated things of beauty. He was an aficionado of the arts from theatre and movies to music and fashion. He was a great dancer and a fan of classic musical films. He spent his career as an advertising executive creating many memorable logos and designs. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Dora Snyder. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; his daughters, Jaye Snyder (Kenneth Brimmer) and Laura Snyder Klapper (Marty); grand-children, Graham, Camille, Lucia and Tess Brimmer and Hazel Klapper; his brother, Hy; his brother-in-law, Lyle Berman; sisters-in-law, Lillian Berman Goldfarb, Connie Berman and Janis Berman; nieces, Julie Berman (Hal Kaufman), Amy Berman and Jessie Berman; nephew, Bradley Berman (Erica); relatives, friends, and beloved caregiver, friend and confidant, Darren Scott. He will be missed by all. Funeral will be held 11 AM FRIDAY, January 30 at ADATH JESHURUN CONGREGATION, 10500 Hillside Lane W, Minnetonka. In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to the Sharon and Phil Snyder L'Chaim Fund or Theresa Ackerman Berman Memorial Fund, both at the Minneapolis Jewish Federation (13100 Wayzata Blvd., #200, Mtka., MN 55305).
