Carlson, Richard Arvid of Hudson, WI, died Saturday, January 24, 2015, on his 87th birthday. Born on January 24, 1928, in Mpls, MN, he was a proud graduate of Edison High School (Mpls) in 1946. He served in the U.S. Navy before attending Hamline University, where he met the love of his life, Genevieve. He owned his own company, DiaBond, Inc., located first in Franklin Park, IL, and later in Hudson, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents, four siblings, and one granddaughter, Lynn Martin Hurst. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Genevieve (Martin) Carlson, whom he married in 1952; daughter Caryn Hurst and husband Michael of Custer, WI, and their children Nathan, Noah and Hannah; daughter Jenny Ammerman and husband Dean of Eagan, MN, and their children, Kelsey (Jonah) Krueger and Kristin; and sister, Leslie Young of Marietta, GA. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, February 7, at St. Croix Valley United Methodist Church, 16600 7th Street South, Lakeland, MN, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
