Endres, Richard N. 88, of Golden Valley, MN died peacefully December 18th at Methodist Hospital, St. Louis Park, MN. Born February 17, 1926 in Hampton, MN, he was the son of Mathias and Regina Endres. He is survived by his wife, Bernice Endres of Golden Valley; daughters, Vicki Barker of Burnsville, MN, Mary Endres of Houston, TX, Peggy Endres (John Topic) of St. Paul, MN; sons, Steve (Kelly) Endres of Eau Claire, WI, and Mark (Kathy) Endres of Victoria, MN; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Bernadette Brees and Mercedes Brodala; and one brother, James Endres. He was preceded in death by brothers Father Joseph Endres and Alvin Endres. Richard graduated from St. John's University in Collegeville, MN, after serving in the Navy in World War II. His life-long career in the agriculture industry began by selling seed corn for PAG Seeds and ended with his retirement in the mid-1980's as a vice president at Cargill. In his retirement he enjoyed fishing, travelling and gardening. He liked to spend time at the cabin in Wisconsin with family where he loved playing cards, laughing, and chopping wood. He always had a fire going and liked listening to Country and Dixieland music. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating his life will be held on Monday, December 22nd, 2014, 11:00 a.m., at St. Mathias Catholic Church, 23315 Northfield Boulevard in Hampton, MN.
