Erwin 'Dan' Danielson

Danielson, Erwin "Dan" A lover of music, hunting and golf, Erwin "Dan" Danielson, age 90, pass-ed away November 26. Dan was born and raised in Amery, Wisconsin. In 1950, he took over Danielson Drug in Amery. He later owned and ran Danielson Drug in the Medical Arts Building, Minneapolis. He served his country in WW II and went on to finish Pharmacy School at the University of Minnesota. He met the love of his life, Meredith Nelson, on a blind date. They were married 63 years. Dan was preceded in death by his son, Mark; parents, Charles and Virna; and sister, Dorothy. Dan supported the arts and loved opera. Throughout his life, Dan was devoted to his family and community. He served on the Amery Industrial Development Board and worked hard to help establish the first Amery Hospital. He was a member of the Amery Highway Committee and ensured there was an "Amery" exit sign on Hwy. 94, just south of Baldwin. Dan is survived by his wife, Meredie; three daughters, Gail (Ken), Lisa (Rob), Kristin (Jim); two sons, Craig (Liz), Joel (Shannon) and 15 grandchildren, Meredith, Kyle, Clay, Trent, Amery, Addy, Jonathan, Lizzie, Torie, Lindsay, Charlie, Casey, Logan, Sydney, and Luke. A memorial service will be held Monday December 1st, 11 a.m., Amery Congregational Church, 201 Harriman Ave N., Amery, Wisconsin, 54001 (AmeryUCC.org).
