Georgia M. 'GeeGee' Bachman

Bachman, Georgia M. "GeeGee" Age 87, of Bloomington, MN, died peacefully surrounded by family on November 16, 2014. Preceded in death by her parents, George and Ruth Moscrip. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Stanley; two sons, Paul (Barb) Peter (Janet); four grandchildren, Leslie, Kelly, Adam, Blair; and five great grandchildren, Owen, Ruthie, Hadley, Cora, and Calvin (with another on the way). Known to all as GeeGee, she was born in Minneapolis and grew up in Spokane and Portland. She met Stan in 1945 while he was in the service and they were married in 1948 shortly after GeeGee's graduation from the University of Minnesota. GeeGee was well loved by all who knew her and she will be remembered for her genuine graciousness. She was devoted to her family and supported Stan throughout his career at Bachman's. She was strong-willed, civic-minded and progressive and helped establish the Richfield Swimming Pool and the Woodlake Nature Center. She was a charming hostess and just a lovely lady on all accounts. She will be truly missed. Memorial service at 11 am Saturday November 22, at Friendship Village, 8100 Highwood Dr., Bloomington. Visitation one hour prior to service.
