Ufford, Judy Age 73, of Chisago City. After a courageous battle with cancer, Judy passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family on October 30, 2014. She was born on January 1, 1941 in Dubuque, Iowa. Judy was a nurse at North Memorial Medical Center for 33 1/2 years, caring for patients in the Pediatric, Critical Care and PACU units. She was an active member of the Church of St. Peter, where she served as a blood pressure nurse. She had also been active at St. Bridget of Sweden Catholic Church, volunteering on the church council, as communion minister and parish nurse. Judy had a love of flower gardening and serving others through volunteering and Mission ministries. Preceded in death by mother, Mildred McNett; father, Earl Apel. She is survived by Keith, her beloved husband of 51 years; children, James (Deidre), Diana Baron, Julie (Ted) Jordan; grandchildren, Brianna, Matthew, Jacob, Alexandra, Luke, Chelsea; brother, Gary (Helen) McNett; sister, Marcia (Mike) Noonan; extended family and many friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at the Church of St. Peter, 1250 South Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Visitation 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, with 7 p.m. Rosary at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Visitation will continue 9-10 a.m., Wednesday at Mattson Funeral Home.
