Eherenfeldt, Gene A. 10/31/1935 11/20/2013 A celebration of Gene's life will be held Sunday, November 2, at the Embas sy Suites Hotel (Gardenia Room), 7901 34th Ave. So., Bloomington MN. Gathering of family and friends will begin at 4:30 p.m. followed by a short program at 5:00 p.m. Refreshments will follow. Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery on Monday, November 3 (meet at Assembly Area #4 by 10:45 a.m.). Mass of Christian Burial previously held on November 25, 2013, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Bettendorf, IA. Gene was born October 31, 1935, in Fargo, ND and grew up in Minneapolis, MN. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served in the Korean War. He died suddenly on November 20, 2013 at Unity Point Hospital in Betten-dorf, IA. Those left to honor his memory are his wife, Sally; daughters, Michelle Serafini (Franco) and Renee Citera (Frank); stepdaughters, Michelle Lyden (Mark), Loni Christensen (Edward) and Kris Masanz (Randy); six grandchildren, Jonathan Rupp, Katherine Rupp, Adam Linstad, Aaron Linstad, Jakob Masanz and Sam Lyden; and two sisters, Karen Hayes, and Janice Nunn (Jim). Gene was preceded in death by parents, Lyla and Delbert Eherenfeldt, three brothers and four sisters. Memorials are preferred to your favorite charity.
