Oliver Ford Arrett

Arrett, Oliver Ford age 81, of Deephaven, passed away peacefully with family at his side on October 27, 2014, after a family centered life filled with love and success. Preceded in death by his wife Kathryn, who he loved dearly, parents Ford and Margaret Arrett, in-laws Fred and Catherine Allen, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Barbara and Em Chirpka, and his great-grandson Danny Lasanen. Oliver was a well-respected patent attorney, retiring in 2002. Oliver was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He was devoted to his wife and family, lived his life with integrity and was a devout Catholic. His passions were sailing, flying and reading. Oliver's spirit lives on in the hearts of his family and those who knew him. Survived by sons, Richard (Jane) Arrett and Robert (Judy) Arrett; daughters, Karen Arrett (Kevin Gerads), Mary (Dennis) Velazquez and Elizabeth (Robert) Carlson; grandchildren Jonathan, Elizabeth, Augustine, Jaimi, Preston, Anthony, William, Olivia, Anne, Andrew, Lauren, Rollie, Robert, Kara, Nicholas, Andrea, Jack, Kent and Sawyer; great-grandchildren Jailyn, Aiden, Breckham and Braxton; sisters Sandra (Robert) Wheaton and Pamela (Harley) Einsphar; sister-in-law Rosemary Dundas, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation 4-6 pm Friday, October 31, with Prayer Service and Rosary at 6 pm at St. Therese Catholic Church, 18323 Minnetonka Blvd, Deephaven (952) 473-4422. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, November 1 at 9:45 am at St. Therese. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery, Shorewood.
