John Phillip McDonell John Phillip McDonell

McDonell, John Phillip Professor, mentor, loving father, PC gamer, dearly loved by his family and friends, passed away quietly on Friday, October 17th. He left behind an indelible mark on his three sons and daughter and his seven grandchildren. Only one thing could keep him from his pastrami sandwich and a trip through Lion's Arch. He now joins his wife whom he missed so very much. John's stories of the first computers that he helped develop as a Captain in the Signal Corps, his tales of adjusting hard drives with a ratchet wrench or accidentally dropping a mainframe from the 5th story of a New York high rise will always be with us. His life was a testament to love and devotion for his family and serves as an example to those left behind of the power of love and partnership. Rest in peace dear father, rest with the knowledge that you have done well and will always be in our hearts. John will be laid to rest at Lakewood Cemetery on Friday, October 24th with a memorial service at Lakewood Chapel at 12 Noon, 3600 Hennepin Ave. S., Minneapolis. Thank you to the staff of N.C. Little Hospice for helping us through this difficult time. GILLBROTHERS.com Minneapolis 612-861-6088
