Una Koland

Koland, Una Age 75, of Bloomington, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2014 after a courageous, three-year battle with cancer. Survived by husband Roger, son Ted of Los Angeles, and son Todd, daughter-in-law Shelley and grandsons Brecken and Macallan Koland of Chanhassen. She is also survived by brother and sister-in-laws Donald & Helen Wysocki of Lakeville, Roy & Emo Anderson, Marjorie Wollin and Orlean Boen of Karlstad, as well as thirty-three nieces and nephews. A woman of great faith, she valued her relationship with the Lord, Hosanna Lutheran Bible study and her Flicka Circle friends at Mount Olivet. A vibrant friend and energetic soul, Una loved spending time with family and friends. Preceded in death by parents Ted & Elsie Kimbrough and brother Ivan of Strandquist, MN, Una was a loving wife and mother. Born in Strandquist, Una and Roger were married in 1957 and raised their family in Bloomington. Through a long career, Una worked at companies including Yale Engineers, the Minnesota Twins, Imagewear and Jen-Ray Systems. Funeral service will be held 11 AM this Thursday, October 23rd (10 AM visitation) at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church, 5025 Knox Ave S. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to either Mount Olivet Lutheran or Hosanna Lutheran Church.
