Johnson, Eldon W. age 88 of Mpls. Born in Isle, MN on October 30, 1925 and passed away on October 17, 2014. A WWII Navy veteran who fought in the battle of Okinawa and a 30 year member of the Painters and Allied Trades union. Eldon was a longtime member of Oliver Presby. Church and an avid landscape painter, woodcarver and gardener. Preceded in death by wife, Edna and daughters, Carol and Doreen. Survived by children, Eldon Jr. (Diane), Anita (David) Root, Bruce (Joan) and Brian; grandchildren, Audrey, Rebekah, David Jr., Elizabeth, Reannin, Crystal and Brian Jr.; great-grandchildren, Maya and Bennett; other loving relatives and friends. Service Thursday 10:00AM at Morris Nilsen Chapel, 6527 Portland Ave. S. Visitation one hour prior to service. Interment in Isle, MN. Memorials may be directed to Hope Presbyterian Church.
