Johnston, Linda A. age 57, of Apple Valley. Linda took off her boxing gloves after a graceful and determined battle with cancer and passed away Sunday, Sept. 28. She died peacefully and in no pain and has joined her parents and family that have gone before her. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Alice Mortensen and her grandparents. Linda is survived by her loving husband, Brian; her three children, Sarah, Kari and Michael; sister, Karen (Lynn) Koenen; a niece, Lindsey; her beloved springer spaniel "Winni" and other family and friends. A celebration of Linda's life will be held on Thursday, 3:30 PM at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 12650 Johnny Cake Ridge Rd., Apple Valley. A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday, from 3:30-6:30 PM at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 147th and Garrett Ave., Apple Valley and 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
