Robert McCormick

McCormick, Robert "Mac" age 64, passed away unexpectedly September 25, 2014 in Scotland after playing the round of his life at the Golf Club of St. Andrews. Preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Sylvia McCormick. Survived by partner Terri Nuessle; children Anne Behrendt (Josh), Mary, and Dan (Kaley); and beloved grandchildren Daniel and Elsie. He is also survived by his five siblings, nieces and nephews, his many close friends and the Trout Lake family. Mac loved a great story and he would have so loved the story of his last day. He touched the lives of hundreds of kids through his 20+ years of volunteer coaching at Annunciation School and through the Minneapolis Park Board. He was the reigning Trout Lake Whist Champion, 1989 Washington Generals MVP, Whitefish Lake E-Boat Regatta Winner, Capture the Flag Visionary, and McCormick Family Golf Tournament Runner-Up. We will always remember Mac's gentle soul, mischievous giggle, and unmatched ability to connect with kids. He leaves us with heavy hearts but with many, many stories that will continue to live on.
