Smith, Dolores L. age 85 of Brooklyn Center passed away after a courageous five year battle with cancer on September 19th, 2014. She was presided in death by her parents, brother, Wallace Anderson and daughter, Nancy Smith. Survived by beloved husband of 64 years, Gordon, children: Diane Bandur (Mark), Mike (Terry), James (Alice), Larry (Maria), Kathy Myers (Joel), Leann, Thomas (Laura), Jerry (Tina); two brothers, Carl and John Anderson; 22 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Born August 9th, 1929 in Duluth Minnesota to Mabel and Carl Anderson. Member of the St. Alphonsus Catholic church for 54 years. Worked at the Minneapolis Club for 42 years, retiring in 2012. Dolores loved playing cribbage, cards, going up north, crafting and was famous for her cookie baking and candy making. A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. Memorial Catholic Mass at 11:30 am on 9/23 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 7025 Halifax Ave. No, Brooklyn Center. Visitation 1 hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church building fund.
