LeClair, Frances H. Romon age 95, passed away peacefully September 13, 2014, at St. Anthony Health Center in Minneapolis. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank E. and Harriet (Haire) Romon, and three brothers, Sydney, Melvin (Anita), and Carroll (Elinor). She married Algeroy LeClair in 1946; they divorced with no children. Survivors include her nephew, Raymond Romon, and many longtime treasured friends. Frances was born October 20, 1918, in Weyauwega, Wisconsin. Following graduation from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, she taught home economics and biology in Superior and Maple, Wisconsin. She continued her education with a master's degree in counseling and served as middle school counselor in Columbia Heights, Minnesota, until her retirement. A lover of nature and animals, she enjoyed lifetime company of many collies, German shepherds, and "Jake," the cat. Memorials preferred to the Frances R. Funeral service will be Tuesday, September 23, at 11:30 a.m. with visitation one hour before at Salem Covenant Church, 2655 5th Street NW, New Brighton, Minnesota.
