Leonard J. Okronglis

Okronglis, Leonard J. age 72 of Ham Lake passed away peacefully surrounded by his family September 18, 2014. He was born in Sturgeon Lake on July 23, 1942 and was baptized Leonard John Okronglis. He graduated from Moose Lake High School in 1960. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law and friend. He was a faith filled man who enjoyed the outdoors, traveling and spending time with family and friends. He was passionate about polka dancing. He met his wife, Jane, at a polka dance, and they've shared their love of polka music and dancing for almost 50 years. Len was a gifted builder and built the home where he and Jane raised their four children. Preceded in death by his parents, John and Lillian; and twin sister, Lucille. Survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Jane; children Brenda (Joe) Paul, Debra (Todd) Jurek, Michael (Shevin), and Amy (Craig) Lorensen; grandchildren Anthony, Jacob, James, Sophie, Matthew, Lillian, Alexander, Nicholas, William, Vincent, Zachary, Evelyn, Ethan, Gracelyn; brother, Raymond, friend, Roger Forss; many other loving relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Monday 5-8 PM at Thurston-DeShaw Funeral Home, 13817 Jay St. NW, Andover. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday 11 AM with visitation one hour prior at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 19921 Nightingale St. NW, Cedar. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery.
