Anderson, Sheldon H. "Sam" age 80, of Edina and Bonita Springs, FL, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2014, surrounded by his family. Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years Karen; children Jeff (Rebecca), Wendy Giannattasio (Rob), Dale Gregory (Ken); grandson Dimitri Anderson; granddaughters Addison and Millie Giannattasio; and rescue dog Shadow. Born October 10, 1933, in Minneapolis, the son of Osmer and Mildred Anderson, Sam graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1956 and married Karen Lee on September 21, 1963. After serving his country in the U.S. Army, he embarked on a long career in sales and spent many years in management at Anderson Dodge, before becoming a successful real estate agent. Sam enjoyed fishing, skiing, and spending summers with his family at the cabin on Bay Lake. Later, he and Karen split their time between Crosslake, MN, and Bonita Springs. Memorial service 11 AM WEDNESDAY, with visitation 1 hour prior, at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 4801 France Ave S, Mpls (GoodShepherdMPLS.org).
