Anderson, Lorraine (Edna) Johnson Age 91, of New Brighton passed away peacefully at home on Monday, Sept. 15, 2014. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Anderson, her parents John C. and Edna M. Johnson, and her brother, Walter C. Johnson. Lorraine is survived by sister, Mildred V. Carlson; daughters, Kathryn Gigler, Jennifer Skalicky, Julie (Michael) Vinar; sons, Charles (Linda) Anderson and Jeffrey Anderson; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends. Born and raised by Swedish immigrant parents in Minnesota, she was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She was an award-winning artist in hand craft and custom draperies. She cared for the ones she loved deeply and unconditionally and spent a lifetime teaching them, by example, how to do the same. Her kind and caring heart will live through her children, who meant everything to her, her grandchildren who adored her endlessly, and those blessed to be her friends... because, to her, friends were family and to be in her family is something truly special. We will remember her fondly, think of her often, and be better people for all the love she gave. She is with the angels now.
