Thornton, Evan Joseph age 13 of Mpls, died on September 12, 2014 surrounded by his family. Evan died fighting and punching cancer in dah face until the very end. Preceded in death by great-grandparents, Grover and Bertina McLaughlin, Leo and Adeline Beckmann, Joseph and Lillian Lapka, James and Mary Thornton. Survived by parents, Michael and Trina; siblings, Leo and Rae; grandparents, James and Janice Thornton, Dennis Beckmann, Beverly McLaughlin and Thomas Johnson; aunts and uncles, Mary Kraft, Ann and Erik Thornton-Kleiner, Susan and Dennis Thornton-Ball, Catherine and Stephen Schmid, Tricia Burandt, and Dennis Beckmann; cousins, Daniel, Katlin and Kristin Kraft, Drew, James and William Kleiner, Elizabeth and Zachary Ball, Samuel, Lola and Otto Schmid, Alex Beckmann, Jordan and Tanner Burandt. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday 11 AM, Church of the Incarnation, 3817 Pleasant Ave. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation Monday 5-8 PM AT THE CHURCH and 1 hour prior to Mass.
