Alva Eugene Warner

Warner, Alva Eugene Peacefully passed away at home on 8/30; he was surrounded by loved ones. Al was born 11/20/25 in Meriden, KS. In 1948 he married his hometown sweetheart Doris Fritts who moved with him from KS to WI to MN and retired in Eden Prairie. He joined the Army Air Corps after high school & served his WWII duty as an electronics radioman. He continued his education under the GI Bill. His passion for electronics led to his career in the aviation industry. His accomplishments include serving as VP of maintenance and engineering for both Republic and Sun Country Air. He started his own consulting firm after retirement. He had a passion for his family, work, sports, and travel. He was involved in several community & church interests. He also was a founding member and past president of RARE; an association for retired airline employees. He is survived by & will be dearly missed by his wife of 66 years, Doris Warner, children Jackie [Don] Fiedler, Kate [Steve] Grandelis, Ron [Joy] Warner, Deb [Jeff] White; 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grand-children (with 2 on-the-way); 1 sister-in-law and her husband, several nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by beloved grandson Seth Eugene Warner, his parents (Alva and Stella Warner), 2 brothers, mother- & father-in-law, brother- & sisters-in-law, and many dear friends.
