Hofstad, Ralph P. Age 90, passed away on August 25, 2014 surrounded by family. Ralph enjoyed a 41 year career in agricultural cooperatives including serving as President and CEO of Land O Lakes from 1974 until his retirement in 1989. Throughout his career, Ralph worked on various boards and post retirement served as Executive Director of the Russian Community Farm Project for 15 years. He was inducted into the Cooperative Hall of Fame in 1992. Ralph will be remembered as a leader and visionary, but more importantly as a loving, generous, energetic, family man. Preceded in death by his parents and brother Arnold. Survived by his wife, Adeline and their six children, Diane (Roger) Dunker, Barb McClannahan, Jim (Eileen) Hofstad, Ron (Bobbie) Hofstad, Tom (Cindy) Hofstad, and Sue (Tom) Arcand. He is also survived by his brother Wesley Hofstad as well as fourteen grandchildren, eleven great-grand-children, and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, October 4th at Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church in Minneapolis.
