Ian A. Menoch

Menoch, Ian A. age 67, of Duluth, formerly of Burnsville, MN, passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Solvay Hospice House in Duluth. He was born on February 24, 1947 in Cadillac, MI to Rev. John and Olive (Jewell) Menoch. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Viet Nam War. Ian was employed as a TSA Operations worker for Homeland Security retiring on May 20, 2014. He married Barbara Wimmer on February 18, 1998 and celebrated 16 years of marriage. In addition to his wife, Ian is survived by one son, Sean Menoch, Plymouth, MI; one daughter, Traci (Steve) Berger, Howell, MI; two step-daughters, Kimberley (Michael) Watry, Chicago, IL, Kara Herring, Minneapolis, MN; one step-son, Kevin Herring, Eagan, MN and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM and will continue until the 10:00 AM Memorial Service on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at the Fort Snelling Memorial Chapel at Historic Fort Snelling, Hwy 5 and 55, with Pastor John Rogers, officiating. Inurnment will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery at 12 noon. Following the inurnment, there will be a Celebration of Life from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at Provence Apartments, 1701 West 143rd St., Burnsville, MN.
