Erie, Larry "Lolly" age 93, of Roseville, previously of Be-midji, North St. Paul, Red Lake, and Faribault, passed away on August 17, 2014. Veteran WWII Merchant Marine. Retired Director of Community Education with Minnesota Department of Education. Preceded in death by his wife, Gladys D. (Thaden); son, Thomas H. Erie. He will be deeply missed by his children, Pamela K. Jensen (Darrel), Dean M. Erie (Joni); daughter-in-law, Gretchen Erie; grandchildren, Aaron and April Erie, Jessica Thomas (Steve), Bikela Asfaw, Alisha Asfaw, Neal Jensen (Michelle), Brenda Allal (Karim); several great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Helen Erie; brother-in-law, Kenard Thaden (JoAnn); many nieces, nephews, relatives and good friends. Visitation at church 1 hour before service. Celebration of Life 11 am Monday, August 25, 2014 at North Heights Lutheran Church, 1700 Hwy 96, Arden Hills (651-797-7800). Private interment at Camp Dellwater, north of Bemidji. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be accep-ted by the family for Camp Dellwater Scholarship Program, Gideon's International, and Larry's favorite charities.
