Nygaard, Richard A. age 88 of Maple Grove, MN, formerly of New Hope, MN and Venice, Fl passed gently away July 25, 2014, with daughter Linda by his side. He is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years Lois, his parents Eleanor & Roy Nygaard, sister Joyce Nygaard, two Son in Laws David Knowles Sr. & Don Schoenbaum. He is survived by his children Pat Nygaard, Linda Tarasar (Pete), Craig Nygaard (Kristi), and Paul Nygaard (Julie). Grandchildren Troy Nygaard (Jennifer), Brent Nygaard (Jenn), Kate Nygaard, Christina Moutzalias (George), David Giancristoforo, Allison Nygaard (Kevin), Jeff Nygaard (Eowyn), & Elizabeth Nygaard, and 7 beautiful Great Grand Daughters. Dick Nygaard was one of the first 6 volunteer Firemen for New Hope. He was an active volunteer for Mount Olivet, Covenant Church in Venice Isles, the Lions Club in Cable, Wi and many other organizations in his lifetime. Memorial Service Friday September 5 at 2PM Mount Olivet Lutheran Church, 5025 Knox Ave So, Minneapolis, MN. No flowers memorials preferred to Mount Olivet.
