Ryan, Dennis J. age 83, of Minneapolis. Passed away peacefully on July 30th. Proud graduate of Washburn High School class of '49 and served in the Marine Corps as a Sgt. during the Korean War. Retired in 1994 after 27 years from the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board as its Director of Engineering. Longtime volunteer at Fairview Southdale Hospital. Loved hunting, fishing and spending time at his cabin. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Carol; his parents and 2 brothers, Roger and Steven. Survived by his children and their spouses, Timothy (Janna), Michael, Susan (John) and Sarah (Tim); grandchildren, Jake, Matt, Grace, Mary and Jack; brother, Michael Ryan and sister, Margaret Hanson; sister-in-law, Sue Gormley; as well as many other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, August 5, 10:30 AM at Annunciation Catholic Church, 509 W. 54th St. Visitation one hour prior to the Mass at church. Interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
