Hall, Ida Rose age 92, lived and practiced her faith all of her life. On July 29, 2014 at 5:20am Ida died in the comfort of that faith and passed into Eternity; reunited forever in Heaven with Lloyd, her husband of 57 years and her beloved youngest son, Roger. She died peacefully at Catholic Eldercare in Minneapolis in the presence of family members keeping a quiet vigil through the night. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Friday, August 1, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 835 2nd Avenue, New Brighton. The Mass will be preceded by a viewing and visitation with the family members starting at 10:00am. Ida was a devout member of this parish for 62 years. In the process of caring for her husband and raising seven children children, Ida labored tirelessly for many years in the endless duties as a home maker. Laundry was washed and dried each week and the evening meal was well prepared and on the table at 4:30pm each day. Ida was renowned for her baking skills, particularly with homemade baked bread. When extra income was needed, Mom took her food preparation skills part-time to a nearby restaurant. Together, Ida and her husband Lloyd did their very best in raising a large family. Ida is survived by daughter, Janet and her husband Roger Sletten; son, Dennis and his wife Dorothy; son, Greg and his wife Sharon; son, Glenn and his wife Jackie; daughter, Beverly and her husband Mark Chergosky; daughter, Deborah and her husband Brad Kuglin. Ida is also survived by her sisters, Rosamae Hromata and Mariella Mederios; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside interment service will be conducted immediately following the Mass at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, 1150 7th Street Northwest, New Brighton, followed by a reception at St. Joseph's Hall located at the church.
