Travis, William Dean age 63, of Chaska, MN, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, July 26. Preceded in death by mother, Betty Jean Travis. Survived by wife, Ruth Ann Travis; daughters, Sarah Ann Travis of Delano, MN and Abby Lynn Travis of Boston, MA; father, William D. Travis of Cedar Rapids, IA; and brother, Steven Travis of Cedar Rapids, IA. A graduate of Cornell College and the University of Iowa, Bill retired as Managing Partner of McGladrey in 2006 after 31 years in the audit and accounting practice. He then served as the president of Bailiwick Data Systems for 4 years, followed by 3 years as the president of IDEA Drilling. At the time of his death, Bill also served on the Board of Directors of Hazeltine National Golf Club, Klein Bank, Bailiwick and IDEA Drilling, and was a member of the AICPA and MNCPA.
