Bredesen, Betty "Georgia" age 84, of Minneapolis, born May 30, 1930 to Gustav & Marie (nee Botner) Bredesen, passed away at Walker Health Care of Mpls on July 22, with Pastor Sally and special friend, Dee Holmgren at her side. Georgia lived in Mpls and graduated from the U. of M. She taught school in Anoka, MN and Norway until she became blind. She received her Master of Arts from Western Michigan University. Georgia traveled extensively in Europe. She was an active member of the NFB and the MN Christian Fellowship of the Blind. Georgia was a lifetime member of Minnehaha Communion Lutheran Church. Despite her challenges, she lived a full and socially active life. Family and friends were important to Georgia and the coffee pot was always on. Visiting with cousin Eddie Foslien and friends in the Alexandria area was a highlight for Georgia. Her faithful guide dogs were constant companions. Georgia was preceded in death by her special friend Walter Hybbert and Aunt Agnes Botner. Funeral service, 2:00 pm, Sunday, July 27, 2014 with visitation one hour before at Minnehaha Communion Lutheran Church, 4101 37th Ave. So., Mpls.
