Larson, Ingrid M. (Age 73) On July 14, 2014 Ingrid Maine Larson of Springfield, VA went to be with Jesus after over a year long bout with lung cancer. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Roger; sons Thomas (Nicky) Redeske and granddaughter Jenny of Pasadena, MD, Nels Redeske and granddaughter Abigail of Farmington, MN and Kenneth (Vickie) Larson of Brooklyn Park, MN; brothers William (Phyllis) Maine of Charlotte, NC and Paul Maine of Buffalo, NY and sister in law Judy Maine of North Fort Meyers, FL and 13 beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Franklin Leland Maine, her mother Ingrid Maine, her sister Dorothy Mateyk, and brother Erling W. Maine. She grew up in the Albion, NY area, graduated from State University of New York in Albany and was a passionate History and Latin or Learning Disabilities teacher in NY, GA, MN and VA. She taught students from other countries conversational English for the last 25 years and loved music, teaching Sunday School classes, Vacation Bible Schools, directing Kings Kids Choir, and English/Bible camps in Slovakia and Romania. Other activities included leading or participating in Bible Study Fellowship classes, Body and Soul exercise classes, swimming or water aerobics, cross country skiing, canoeing, whitewater rafting or hiking. A memorial service will be held 11 am Saturday July 26 at Parkwood Baptist Church, 8726 Braddock Road, Annandale, VA.
