James Robert Anderson

Anderson, James Robert Died July 20, 2014, after 92 enthusiastic, fully-lived years. Predeceased by beloved wife, Dorothy (Wickner), son Scott, parents, 5 siblings, numerous treasured friends. Survived by daughters, Judi Milton, Layney (Dave), Arlyn (Jake), grandsons, Peter (Dawn), Jason (Tracy) Milton, infant great-grand- son, Rigel Oscar, nieces, nephews. A passionate sailor, pilot, inventor, tennis player and electrical engineer with a quick and wry sense of humor, Jim generously share his passions and talents. He earned 12 patents, contributing to the technological landscape we know today. Jim served in the OSS and Eighth Air Force during WWII, dropping double agents and spies into Nazi occupied Europe. He was co-founder, Chief Electrical Engineer, Senior VP at Research Inc. for 24 years. Jim was thorough, witty, determined and charming. When he caught a record muskie while fishing for breakfast during a sailing race in Canada the Mounty gave him a license instead of a ticket. Dorothy became ill with Alzheimer's, Jim tenderly cared for her at home. Jim was one of a kind, made his mark and is sorely missed. Happy Sailing, Skipper Jim.
