Suzanne Beddor Nystrom

Nystrom, Suzanne Beddor peacefully passed away on November 14, 2017. Suzanne was born April 23, 1933, in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Genevieve (Nolan) Beddor and Frank Beddor Sr. A graduate of the Academy of the Holy Angels High School, Suzanne earned her Bachelor of Science Degree with Distinction in 1962 from the University of Minnesota. Suzanne skied with the Ski Antics and skated with the Ice Follies; taught grade school and figure skating; ran a horse farm in Delano and a Scuba Boat in Negril. She enjoyed her family and friends, spending wonderful summers at the family cabin on Bone Lake, Wisconsin. Suzanne was a cheerleader for the earnest efforts of her children, nieces & nephews; a fierce advocate for battered women, mentally ill and those disadvantaged and marginalized and a loving presence in the lives of scores of people from Minneapolis to Jamaica. She is survived by her siblings William Beddor and Judith Murphy, her children Bill Trost, Dan (Peggy) Trost, Gaia Richards, Rebecca (Bruce) Trost Abas, and Amy (Ken) Nystrom-Snyder; Craig, Gary and Rob Nystrom; grandchildren Cole (Alira) Willford, Rachel (Mike) Trost- Schutte, Spencer Trost, Mike Trost; Amy Bijou Abas; several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Genevieve (Nolan) Beddor, Frank Beddor, Sr., her husband Robert F. Nystrom, brother Frank Beddor, Jr., and sisters Marge Warner and Nancy Hinschberger Bartel. Services are planned for Tuesday November 21, 2017 at St. Joan of Arc Church (in the gym), 4537 3rd Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55419. Visitation at 11 am, funeral mass at 12:00 with lunch to follow.
