Luckow, Gloria Marie age 86, of Golden Valley. Passed away on September 11, 2017 in Maple Grove, MN. Survived by daughters, LeAnn (John) Miheve, Mary Beth (Kent) Dunham and Suzanne Luckow; grandchildren, Mary Sue (Tom) Walker, Elizabeth Miheve, Catherine (Conrad) Olson, Abbie (Alex) Patino and Christopher Dunham; 4 great grandchildren: siblings Gilbert Schmitz, Angeline Schnobrich, Glenn (Donna) Schmitz, Leo (Mary) Schmitz, and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband John, parents Leonard and Florence Schmitz, brother Loren. Gloria was involved in her husband's Optometric practice for many years, but focused most of her time and attention to their three daughters. With their youngest having special needs, she became the primary advocate for her, as she has been a resident at Mt. Olivet Rolling Acres for the past 48 years. Gloria also enjoyed many activities: volunteering with the American Optometric Association Auxiliary and League of Catholic Women, Gourmet cooking groups, book club, tennis, golf and travelall involving people she loved so dearly. Gloria's journey with Alzheimer's caused her to slowly give up her extracurricular activities, but still found much joy in her family visits! She will be remembered as the "classy lady who always wore pearls!" Special thanks to the loving caregivers at Arbor Lakes Senior Living and Interim Hospice. Go Team Gloria!
