Nelson, Lance LeRoy age 78 of Blaine went to be with the Lord on Aug 20, 2017. Preceded in death by parents. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 46 years, Gloria; daughters, Jean Estenson, Laura Bell, Sarah (Bryon) Mueller; son Brian (Beth) Nelson; grandsons, Marc, Chad, Eli, Arlo; granddaughters, Marie (Tyler), Michelle, Sophie; great granddaughter, Elodie; brothers, Rev. David (Sybil) Nelson, Steve Nelson; nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Graduate of St. Louis Park High School ('56). Retired 33-year employee of Northwestern Bell (Qwest). Enjoyed the outdoors, a real nature guy, loved photography, birds, deer, shed hunting, books, estate sales, volleyball. Longtime volunteer at church and Springbrook Nature Center. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral service 11 AM Friday, August 25, 2017 at Eagle Brook Church, 8498 Sunset Road NE, Spring Lake Park, MN, with visitation 1 hour prior to service at church.
