Edward C. 'Clayt' Singer

Singer, Edward C. "Clayt" age 90 of New Richmond, WI passed on August 6th from complications of Alzheimer's. Formerly of McAllen, TX but called Columbia Heights, MN his home. Preceded in death by parents; Edward A and Leona Singer; brothers, Robert and Gerald Singer; son, Timothy Singer; and granddaughter Brittany Ihlen-Singer. He is survived by his wife, Audrey; son, Daniel (Bambi) Singer; grandchildren, Ian Singer and Kacie (Dan) Hintz; great grandchildren, Ashton Singer and Ruby Hintz. Clayt proudly served in the USN during WWII. He returned home and married the love of his life and held on to her for 67 years. As a Teamster, he transported cars out of the St. Paul Ford plant and eventually retired as a salesman for Minnegasco. Being a member of Zuhrah Shrine Temple and the "Funsters" gave him great pleasure. He played his saxophone until he couldn't, played more rounds of golf than most, and played a vicious game of "Oh Sh*t". Known to be a gentle hearted grizzly bear, he will be missed every day by everyone that knew him and welcomed into heaven by all that are waiting. A celebration of life will be held on September 16th from 12 to 4 pm at the Somerset American Legion Post 111.
