Ewald, Robert of Maple Grove, MN passed away on August 5, after a courageous battle with cancer. Bob was born on April 19, 1943 in St. Paul, MN to Robert and Eleanor Ewald. He graduated from Hopkins High School in 1961 and enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. Bob then served 30 years in the MN State Patrol as a Trooper, before enjoying his retirement years with his family. Bob is survived by his wife Jean of 41 years; daughters Kimberly (Todd) Pastorius, Wendy (David) Fasching; step-daughters Lisa (Robert) Rother and Renee (Nathan) Kreye and seven wonderful grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents and brother Richard. There will be a celebration of life on August 20 from 12-3 at the Golden Valley American Legion, 200 Lilac Dr. N.
