Parson, Alice Elaine (nee Kindvall) Age 87 of New Brighton MN, passed away on August 7, 2017. Alice is preceded in death by husband, Jim; and puppies, Sofi and Sandi. She is survived by her daughters, Launa (Gary) Wert, Andrea McKee, Wendy Merrell; her stepchildren, Steve Parson, Cindy Spielman, Jeff (Diana) Parson, Jeannie (Mark) Meinert; her sister-in-law, Grace Kindvall; grandchildren, Aaron Wert, Emily (Andrew) Brainerd, Annie McKee, Phillip McKee, Allison McKee, Hillary Parson, Sara (Ron) Henke, Tylar (Carrie) Spielman, Travis (Kim) Parson, Kristi Parson, Molly (Jake) Braun, Dan Meinert; and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and family pets. Alice began competitive speed skating in 1941 at Powderhorn Park in the Phillips neighborhood of Minneapolis and continued until graduating from South High in 1948. She worked as an executive administrative assistant at the law firm of Thomson and Zeck and Deluxe Check Printers. After retiring she enjoyed spending time with her dogs, attending her grandchildren's events, getting together with neighbors and sitting outside on her front porch.
