Schimmelman, Dorothy nee Jurgensen formerly Juntunen Passed away on 7/5/17 at the age of 89. She was preceded in death by husband Donald, parents Viggo and Leta Jurgensen, son David Juntunen; brothers Raymond, Karl, and Maynerd Jurgensen. She is survived by her sisters Marjorie Leonard and Vivian Kelm; children, Michael Juntunen (Lilian), Steven Juntunen, William Schimmelman (Janine) and Barbara Juntunen (David Moorman); grandchildren Amy Burgoyne (Todd), Brandee Mallory-Daniels (Matt), David Juntunen (Krissie), Edward Juntunen (Melissa), Olivia Treanor-Juntunen (Blake), Sean Schimmelman (Michelle), and Cory Schimmelman ( Rebecca ). Great-grandchildren, Tyler, Molly, Caspian, Brynja, Eila, Sydney, Brendan, Lilah, Greta, Grace, Aden, Eli, Waylon, Gabrielle, Chelsea, Taylor, Riley, Wyatt, Christopher, Colton, Celeste and great-great grandchild, Aidan; special god-child Lynn Maslonkowski, and many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was born in Highmore SDAK on 9/30/27 the same day that Babe Ruth broke his own record by hitting his sixtieth home run of the season. She grew up on a farm Scandia Valley MN, loved school and developed a life-long passion for books and education which she passed on to her descendants. The family wishes to thank all of her friends and caregivers at Jones-Harrison in Mpls and Elmhurst Commons in Braham.
