Dustrud, Ruth Elizabeth "Ruthie" age 73 of Prior Lake, MN, passed away on July 24, 2017. Preceded in death by parents, Jerome and Edna Pierce. Survived by husband, Chuck; sister, Sharolet (Norm) Mann; brother, Dave (Lynn) Pierce; sister, Bonne (Red) Campbell; many nephews and nieces and many great-nephews and great-nieces, and many loving relatives and friends. Ruth was a public elementary school teacher for 39 years. She was a fiber artist and as a result was involved with many groups locally and state wide. She enjoyed activities at church: Bible study groups, quilting groups and sang in choirs as a young person. She enjoyed many outdoor sports, camping and gardening and had gardens in Prior Lake and Cormorant. She enjoyed attending political caucuses and political activities. She was a Gopher Men's Basketball season ticket holder for 38 years with her husband. Memorials preferred to the CAP Agency Food Shelf of Scott, Carver and Dakota Counties. Visitation 4-7 PM Sunday, July 30 at Washburn-McReavy Dawn Valley Chapel. Funeral Service 11 AM Monday, July 31, with visitation 1 hour prior at Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church 3611 N.
