Houston, Richard age 73 of Shoreview, passed away on July 15th, with his family by his side, after a two-year struggle with leukemia. Rich is survived by his wife of 51 years, Barbara, his children David (Beth), Catherine (Kevin Cameron), and Jennifer, and his grandchildren Allie, Paul, Jack, Carter, Gretchen, and Emma. He is also survived by his step grandchildren Bayley, Braxton, Zoe, Neal and Craig and by his sister Joni and his brother John (Janet). Rich had a successful career in computer programming and management; loved sailing, birding, and traveling with his wife and family. He lived to serve Christ by serving others. Funeral Mass 11:00am on Monday, July 31st at St. Odilia Church, 3495 Victoria St. N., Shoreview. Visitation one hour prior and luncheon to follow. Private interment at Saint John's Abbey in Collegeville. Memorials preferred to Compassion International or to GTC REC (Residents Encounter Christ a prison ministry)
