Arnold Stuart 'Arnie' Hymanson

Hymanson, Arnold "Arnie" Stuart age 70, passed away on July 17th after a short illness. Arnie was born in Minneapolis and grew up in St. Louis Park and for the last 35 years resided in Edina. He received his B.A. from the University of Minnesota and Master's degrees, in education and history, from the University of St. Thomas. Arnie had many careers during his life ranging from education to stock brokering to insurance. He was an avid reader and always had a book in his hand, more often than not about social justice or politics. Arnie lived his life with gusto and was fiercely loyal to his friends and family. Arnie was bluntly honest, sometimes brash but always engaging, and always true to himself. Arnie had a soft heart. Friends often described him as a 'sabra', prickly on the outside but sweet and succulent on the inside. He was a warm and generous friend and a uncle who adored his niece and nephew. He was preceded in death by parents, Sam & Frances Hymanson. He is survived by his sister Arlene (Rick) Noodleman, nephew Justin (Amanda) Noodle-man, and niece Kira Noodleman. Funeral services 11:00 a.m. Sunday, July 23rd, at UNITED HEBREW BROTHERHOOD CHAPEL, 2605 W. 70 1/2 St., Richfield.
