Bohrer, Wallace Jr. Loved dearly by family and friends, Wally Bohrer, age 83, of Edina, passed away July 12, 2017. Preceded in death by parents. Wally attended St. Thomas Academy, followed by two years in the Navy, stationed in Long Beach, CA. Afterwards, he graduated from the College of St. Thomas. For the next 35 years he owned and operated Beer Wholesalers, Inc. in Eden Prairie. When not running his business and after his retirement, Wally was very active and demonstrated a wide variety of talents. Among them, he was a competitive golfer and musky fisherman. He was also an accomplished carpenter and watercolorist. His paintings and his other creations are cherished and proudly displayed by his family. Throughout his life, he was a jazz enthusiast. Gatherings were centered around family and his fantastic cooking. He is survived by wife, Catherine; daughters Kirsten (Randy) Gullickson, Julia (Rick) Kukowski, and son Nicholas Bohrer; grandchildren Hannah Smith and Marta Gullickson; and many other relatives and friends. A private family gathering is planned.
