Wray, J. Francis "Frank" age 92 of St Paul died peacefully on July 9, 2017. Frank was born on August 30, 1924 in Evanston, Il. to Joseph & Frances Wray. He joined the Christian Brothers in 1943 and graduated in 1947 from St. Mary's University, Winona. He later went on to get his MA at St Mary's and then a PhD from the University of Wisconsin. Frank was a teacher at heart and taught at many Christian Brothers schools in the Midwest. He was the Provincial of the Midwest Region for the Christian Brothers. In 1971, Frank married the love of his life, Elaine McCormick Wray. Together through their strong faith, they lived a life of generosity and kindness. Frank spent a number of years teaching and then chairing the Education Department at the College of St. Benedict before assuming the role as the President at Totino Grace High School, Fridley during the 1980's. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers (Bro. Norman Wray, Jerome Wray and John Wray). His wife Elaine died soon after his death. Frank is survived by his sister-in law Mary Anne Wray and family and the members of Elaine's family. A funeral mass to celebrate Frank and Elaine's life will be Thursday, July 20th at 11:00 AM at St Cecilia's Catholic Church, St Paul with a 10:00 AM visitation at the church.
