Peterson, Harold "Smokey" W. Age 90, of Wayzata passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 28, 2017, at home surrounded by family. He was born March 7, 1927 in Mound, MN. Smokey retired from Northwestern Bell after 37 years. He was a proud Navy Veteran and Wayzata American Legion member. Preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Christine Peterson; siblings Earl and Linnea; son-in-law, Allan Davey. Survived by loving wife of 60 years, Mary Lou; sons, David (Kim), Steve (Jocelyn), daughter Diane Davey; niece Diane Petterson; grandchildren, Taylor, Brianna, Alec, Austin & Evan; Beloved cat, Sam. The family would like to thank the Park Nicollet Methodist Hospice team for their loving care. Smokey was a friend to everyone and always willing to help. He will be dearly missed by many. Memorial service 11AM Thursday, June 1st, 2017 at St. Philip the Deacon Church, 17205 Cty. Rd. 6, Plymouth 55447 with visitation one hour prior to service. Luncheon immediately following.
