G. William 'Bill' Luger

Luger, G. William (Bill) 89, died Tuesday, May 23, 2017. He had resided in Burnsville, MN for the past 30 years. He is preceded in death by his wife of 30 years Clare, his parents, Robert and Grace Luger; brother, Bob Luger and sister, Mary Seiben. Born and raised in Minneapolis, Bill graduated from Washburn High School and enlisted in the Navy; he later served in the Naval Reserves. He went on to earn a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota. Bill spent his entire career as a sales engineer at Carter Day, which later became Air Cure Incorporated. Bill finally retired at the young age of 80. Bill enjoyed sports and completed Grandma's Marathon after turning 50. He loved to travel internationally and was always thinking about his next trip. He especially loved spending time in the summer at the family cabin in Nisswa, MN, a place he has been going to since he was 10 years old. He was very active in AA for over 40 years and formed close friendships with many people. He is survived by his children Paul Luger (Karen), Lisa Angell (Ted), Joseph Luger (Lupita) and Anne Luger and grandchildren Jeff, Julia, Erin, Patrick, and Ivana; Clare's children Marty Werdan, Jean Kiehn Werdan, Maggie Futhey, Bob Werdan, Anne Werdan, and Pete Werdan; many friends and nieces and nephews.
