Nystrom, Marjorie (nee Masloski) age 77, of Annandale, MN, passed away from Alzheimer's on Saturday, May 20th at her home surrounded by her children. Marjorie was born and raised in North East Minneapolis in the Polish National Community. She married her soulmate and best friend, Rodney Nystrom in 1959. Marj ran a restaurant in Annandale for many years and then opened Maple Lake Antiques which she ran for more than 15 years. Marj loved auctions, going to the casino and traveling, but her favorite thing was being a grandma. She is preceded in death by her mother Helen, father Peter, sister Marsha, husband Rodney. She is survived by her sisters, Char Hehir, Rita (Arlo) Reese and Lucia (Dave) Roberts; son Chris, son Jim (Sue), daughter Jolene Hannon (Joe), daughter Kathleen, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Not only is Alzheimer's a horrible disease, it is a lonely disease. We would like to say a special thank you to Charlene Schaefer, whose friendship never waivered and visited Marj every week. A private celebration of Marj's life will be held at her home at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
