Carlson, Betty Jean nee Kenworthy Passed away on May 20, 2017. Born on July 19, 1927 in Hibbing to Clair and Juliette (King) Kenworthy. Married Clarence S. Carlson on May 6, 1950. Lived in Robbinsdale, MN for 31 years. Former Blue Bird & Campfire leader, Job's Daughter Council, Tupperware Manager. Moved to Brainerd in 1987 and became active in Nisswa Women's Club (Past President and board member), Eastern Star (Robbins-dale & Brainerd), Golden Kix (dancer), 7 year dancer/cast member of Geritol Frolics, Red Hats, member of the Lutheran Church of the Cross. Survived by husband of 67 years, Clarence; children, Sue (Randy) Kehn, Gail (Roger) Johnson, Skot (Debra Benson) Carlson, Dyann (Kim) Barritt; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, beloved grandparents, dear aunt Sadie & sister June Gelein. Funeral service will be at 11 AM on Thursday, at Lutheran Church of the Cross, 5064 Co Rd 13, Nisswa, (218) 963-2564, with visitation 1 hour prior at church. Private family interment will be at Crystal Lake Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to Lutheran Church of the Cross or donor's choice.
