Kirkpatrick, Marcella "Marcy" of Minnetonka, age 89, died May 18, 2017. Formerly of Redwood Falls, Tracy, and Northfield, Marcy was compassionate and an outgoing conversationalist. She earned a nursing degree at the U of MN, was active in retail as a small business co-owner of a drugstore, two variety stores, and a gift shop. Before retirement she worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Ostegren in Excelsior. Her many activities included the Church, Eastern Star and PEO. She enjoyed playing piano, singing and writing. Devoted wife of Bruce Kirkpatrick for 61 years, they shared a love of music and gardening. Survived by children Linda (Jim), Candace (Jim), and Peter; grandchildren Matt, Mike (Erin) and Sarah (DJ); great-grandchildren Toby, Josie and Lily. She is preceded in death by her husband Bruce, her parents, Alvina and Ferdinand Kemnitz, one brother and three sisters. Service will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 16023 Minnetonka Blvd., June 1, 2017 at 11 AM with visitation starting at 10 AM.
